With Buttons on your Wrists...+update.

I found the cutest bracelets to make here. So I wanted to do my own version and this is what I came up with.

I just had a few buttons and I wanted to try these out. I started with the monkey one and I even wore it to work! I got several compliments so I came home and made some more.

This purple flower one was a bit too small when I got it finished so I had to redo it.

My son let me know he wants one with a dinosaur button. So I guess I will be making a trip to Wal-Mart tonight. I love when he like the stuff I make.

Ok so I couldn't stop tonight. I had to make more after I hit Wal-Mart and didn't find a dino button, but I did find so much more!! YAY!!

I started off making Jaiden a backpack dangle with a robot.


I think it's cute. We will see how long it lasts. LOL

Then I have these SWEET buttons that I knew I needed something for myself.

I'm not sure I like how it turned out for sure but it will do for now. I need better wire that is more flexible.



The next 2 are just messin' around and I really love the stars but not sure about the rainbow.

Papaw Inspired Monogram

So a few posts ago I put up the Crayon Monogram that is just beautiful to me and it is a super duper cheap Teacher present because crayons are only 25 cents!! Yes I can't quit buying them so if anyone has a request for one I will make them. I have plenty of crayons. LOL

Well I decided my Dad needed one. And he is not quite the Crayon type...

So I made one with nuts and bolts and such!!! Check it OUT!

I thought it turned out rather well. Plus it was all free from the "bucket-o-junk"!!

P.S. My son lost both his front teeth this month! Both have come out @ Granny & Papaw's house. This last one... Papaw KICKED it out!! Accident of course, but a story none the less. Papaw is super ticklish on his feet. Like don't look at them or he will squirm. Well Jaiden was under the kitchen table and touching his feet and Papaw lifted his foot and BOOM! Out came the tooth!! Tooth Fairy brought $2. She's richer when she visits Granny's!!

Mah Jongg

I found this awesome old game at a thrift shop. The pieces are FAB! I think they would make awesome pendants. I wanted to try the scrabble pieces like over at

I want to attach some loops and make them pretty. I have so many though that the basic boring ones I want to Mod Podge on some.

 

I'm going to go try to find some of those little eye loop things that screw in and see if those would work. Hey if this goes well my etsy dream may come true.. LOL

Ok I downed my first "To Do" list item......

 

Here is my first go at the Crayon Monogram for my sons teacher this year. The 24 ct box of crayons was only 25 cents at Wally World so this is one of the coolest and cheapest! What could be better right??

I am going to upload some links to the block letters from printerprojects.com.

The F took less than one box of crayons. I am also going to try a couple of these with nails and screws and some washers and bolts to give to Papaw because he is a builder of all things. I think it may be cute too.

 

My Favorite Part of Summer

I love planting flowers from seed to watch them sprout and grow. This year we moved just before summer and I had the perfect patch to plant some. I was so excited. I had so many seeds I have collected over the years and I just started scattering some.

 

In Wyoming we only have about 3 months of real growing time so planting from seed isn't always the best plan.  Here, we go from winter to about a week of spring then HOT! Then when we hit the end of August when it should be really warm still & we get rain and the temp drops down to like 69 degrees which feels darn cold when you've been sweating for a month.  It makes me relize I am not ready for winter yet that's for sure. 

I just think they are so beautiful. I wish I could have fresh flowers EVERYDAY!

Ok so I have this amazing piece of window glass I picked up next to a dumpster in an alley.

Only one tiny chip which I think gives it personality.

 

    

I need your ideas to help me decide. I have thought a mod podge of things stuck to it but that just seem so.....BORING!!

 

Another super find today!!!

I will use this to kind of do my first giveaways. I know I should really have followers first but hey promote, promote, promote. I know I have people visiting so maybe now they will hang around to see if they will win... I will post a few pieces of jewelry and those that post ideas first will win them. !!!YAY!!!  

Pin Stripe

I needed somewhere to store all my buttons. I picked up this awesome (but too small to wear) cloth like belt. I was thinking super awesome strap for a purse but this idea came sooner. SO............... 

I took the belt buckle and lifted it up and pulled the buckle off and placed it back in the opposite direction.

So you notice the little knob is up or to the right with the belt slid in the other way, you just go ahead and push it back  or to the left  to lock the belt in place.



Attach favorite buttons and you go from this:

I did go ahead and remove the flippy thingy with the teeth so I could hang it with the hole that was already on it, at the top. I am also going to do something sweet to the buckle so It gives it the BANG it needs!
