Another Skirt to Purse Design

Ok I am finding way too many skirts that I want to make into purses.

I may just have to open an Etsy shop before i'm done!! LOL

Here I found a cute green skort.

Here is the belt that becomes the strap.

Need to cut off the crotch area and zip across with machine.

Then sew the strap on. It's really thick so you could hand sew or like me,

 I sew as far as I can and then add liquid stitch.

Finished product.

I'm a horrible model and I seriously need to find someone I can show these on well.

I will try to add better pictures soon.

There ya have it though simple enough!!



Mod Podge Shoes & epic fail.

Ok this has been on my to-do list since I saw it about a year ago here.

I love the idea and I have wanted to try it but just didn't have faith. Well I found me a pair of shoes on clearance and said "what the hay"  What will I really be out if I ruin them?

NA_DA!!

Ok so here is my fab fabric:

So this is like the perfect shoe!! LOL

Ok, so if I like these, I want to do a few hundred more because who can afford these?

I love them, but seriously? Last time I spent money like that on anything I wore.....UM NEVER!!

I used to get skechers shoes when I was in high school but still not MY money!

My budget squeeks like a field mouse! Plus I am cheap!!

So I followed the tutorial pretty close, it was up on my screen the whole time!!

This is my version of the shoes. Well one shoe, because I am so disappointed that I'm not even bothering with the second one!

The material didn't take well it's almost translucent in a way.

Plus the huge bubble which was smooth when I did it.

It's not smooth at all. It has a paten leather feel.

Yes the modpodge is still wet. I was touching up a place.

(why I bothered I'm not sure! LOL)

Looks lame to me.

Gotta love the blob that formed and yes that is dry.

So for me this was a crafting fail. I love the idea and I am sure hundreds of people make them and they are FAB! So I encourage anyone to still try this for sure I thnk they turn out way cute when SOMEONE ELSE does it!! LOL I think I don't have the patience to wait and do it like it's supossed to be. I made a mess beyond reason and I made it look like POO! So now ya'll can let me know who has an etsy shop with these in them so I can go buy a pair!!!! LOL

Friday Failure....

 

This week I am focusing on getting the legal paperwork typed up to

make my son's last name official. It's supposed to be Flowers.

It's currently Armstrong, very very very LONG story!!

One thing I keep learning the hard way.....LISTEN TO YOUR MOM!!

Had I just listened 7 yrs ago in the hospital, I wouldn't have needed to do this name change drama.

Yes Mother, I admit in front of all of blogland you were right! I should have listened.

And yes now you have proof!!

ANYWHOO.. I went and spent several hours at the local courthouse writing out the legal forms of someone who went to the courts and changed their name themself. Without  a high (overlyhigh) priced lawyer.

It's gonna be short and sweet I know I just NEED to get-r-done!!

I had the papers typed up for a while but then I didn't have the $60 dollar filing fee then the local judge changed, So now I need to change the name on the papers and guess what.... I have NO CLUE where the originals are saved digitally. Oh yeppie me!! I get to retype.

So that is my weekend adventure because I will be getting this done ASAP. Hopefully for my birthday present. I have some crafty things I want to acomplish but I feel guilty diving into those when this is weighing on me and my house looks like the dishwash blew up and spit everything out on the counter!

 ( I don't own a dishwasher)

Laundry needs done badly!! The ferrett cage needs a deep cleanin, and my son is not underfoot this weekend because he is with my MOMMA. So seriously how do I justify playing when so much work needs done? Couldn't just one of you justify it for me? PLEEESE?







This will encourage me to get this "work" done and then...
